Mandy Morris (they/them) is equal parts musician, educator and coffee. They have dedicated their career to spreading joy, introducing jazz to children and families along with encouraging everyone to embrace their creativity through music. Best described as Sesame Street meets Diana Krall, their high-energy stage presence and thoughtful lyrics have won the hearts of all who have come to their shows and workshops. Mandy, who calls Calgary home, has been nominated for four YYC Music Awards and a WCMA. They won the YYC Music award in 2021. They have toured Canada with performances at festivals, events, concerts , and libraries in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and NWT.
Hailing from the vibrant city of Edmonton, Alberta, Beppie is a two-time JUNO-nominated children's musician and Western Canada Music Award winner who has captured the hearts of young listeners and families across Canada and beyond.
Her music is a celebration of the boundless curiosity and creativity of childhood, inviting children and adults to join in an eclectic musical adventure. Drawing inspiration from her own experiences as a parent and educator, Beppie infuses her songs with energy, warmth, humor, and a deep understanding of the joys and challenges of growing up. Through her music, she creates a safe and inclusive space where children can explore their emotions, express themselves, and embrace their unique identities.
Blending folk-rock & Rhythm and Blues, there is something for every music fan to love about Mississauga singer/songwriter Matt Zaddy. A storyteller at heart, Matt’s music speaks to the soul, with tales of life, love, hardship & redemption. Having shared the stage with artists such as K’Naan, Tom Cochrane, Jim Cuddy, The Trews, The Cowboy Junkies & Sam Robertws, Matt Zaddy connects with listeners of all ages and genres.
Shay Wolf is a Winnipeg-based alt-pop artist whose ethereal sound and dreamlike storytelling invites listeners into a vibrant world of emotion, wonder, and transformation. With haunting vocals, cinematic textures, and a spark of whimsy, she crafts music that lingers like a memory—glowing long after the final note.
VIOLENT AFFECTION
Violent Affection is a folk-pop singer-songwriter duo comprised of multidisciplinary artists: Brady Barrientos and Kris Cahatol. Based in Treaty 1 Territory, Winnipeg MB, Violent Affection has been performing, jamming, and goofing off at local venues since 2022.
As two theatre artists, Brady and Kris found that they shared a love of collaboration, infusing queerness in music, and not taking themselves too seriously– thus this dynamic duo was born.
Brady’s piano-driven jazz-pop background and Kris’ acoustic indie folk roots intertwine naturally to create violent affection’s signature playful and unique sound, reminiscent of late 60’s grooves. With inspirations from Carole King to Chappell Roan, Violent Affection is sure to sway your heart with fresh takes on pop hits of all decades, and moving original pieces.
